Possibly the best sailing on the Isle of Wight

Shanklin Sailing Club was founded in 1931 it is a small happy family Club, with all the usual facilities showers, changing rooms, club house and a gear store. We have around 30 Dart/Sprint15's and also sail Enterprise's, Laser's, Pico's Toppers & Mirror's, We race on a Thursday evening and a Sunday morning, but you can sail at any other time. Shanklin Sailing Club is situated on the south coast of the Isle of Wight between Sandown and Ventnor, the Club is located by the beach at the north end of Shanklin's Promenade. Access to the water is via a shelving sandy beach.

Training Weekend Many thanks to Brian Phipps (Windsport) for passing on some of his wealth of knowlage, what a fantastic weekend. Everyone is shattered, lots of wind on Saturday not so much on Sunday.

New Race Rule: as well as the 2 hour limit, there is now a 35 minute time limit for getting to the first buoy, if the first boat hasn't rounded within 35 minutes the race will be abandoned.
