Wing Surfer Rescue

Postby Yvonne-Pike » July 23rd, 2020, 10:09 pm

Very well done to both Brandon and Les this evening for not only manning the patrol boat, but about half an hour before Thursday's Cup Race went to the rescue of a wing surfer who had become detached from his sail and was drifting out to sea. Whilst race officer John contacted the inshore coastguard, they safely recovered both the very grateful surfer and his equipment, and returned safely to shore. The coastguard thanked us for our assistance, after which racing resumed with just a ten minute delay to our usual 7pm start.

Thank you :)

Who's the more foolish; the fool or the fool who follows him?
