Conservative Challenge Cup racing

Sandown Bay showed itself at its best today with champagne conditions...flat water, sunshine and plenty of breeze. Eighteen boats competed over five one-lap races, meaning the start was critical... and with two general recalls it was apparent that everyone was geared up and determined to establish the prized inner-mark line to buoy 1 as their own.

For the neutral observer, this was also a fantastic shake-up of the fleet, with four different race winners and lots of changes in position whether at the front or the back. Thoroughly entertaining.

Many thanks to Keith who had his hands full in the race box, and to Les for watching out for us on the water.

Fingers crossed for more of the same next Sunday.

See you on the water again soon :D
