Getting the buoys in this Sunday

Postby Yvonne-Pike » October 13th, 2020, 7:23 pm

:geek: The weather is looking good to bring the remaining five buoys in this coming weekend.

Please can we ask for half a dozen volunteers for half an hour this Thursday at 6pm to put the deck on the Ark Royal :D

And then assistance please this Sunday morning to bring the buoys in. The forecast is for light NE wind and mid-tide.

Thank you!

Excellent response today, all complete with the kit power washed down and stored by 11am.

The Tri has been taken apart and stored under its new cover thanks to Craig and his helpers. The drains were blocked at the back of the club house, this released a torrent of water well spotted that there was a problem.
Thanks to Ian Mary et al for the catering, and thanks to all who helped today.

The platform has been stored inside the boat park fence to avoid damaged to the new roof on the boat shed.

A well organised morning, brilliant well done all.
Heavy lifting pulling up the Buoys, then came lots of mud, power washing, Ark Royal put together, then put away again, plus filthy water from the drains, was a very busy morning, but didn't stop the lots of banter and laughter throughout the tasks, and made complete with yummy fish finger, bacon, sausage sandwiches. :P
