Bang and Swap Helm

Postby Yvonne-Pike » May 8th, 2021, 12:09 pm

This Sunday's first race will be the "Bang and swap helm", followed by the Sprint Series.

A helm and a crew (from different households) are permitted to sail together on the same boat. Please note the latest guidance from the RYA – I have attached the latest update from April 28th and highlight the section below. The pdf also contains a link to guidance for sailing & racing with participants from different households.

:!: Will it be possible for people from different households to sail together in the same dinghy, keelboat or yacht and is there a limit on the numbers onboard?
Yes, provided this activity is organised by an NGB (National Governing Body), club, public body, qualified instructor, company or charity and follows NGB guidance. These activities should comply with the ‘RYA Guidance on Sailing and Racing with Participants from Different Households during Covid-19 in England’. :!:
