:!: All of the weather forecasts for tomorrow are aligning and, having conferred with our Elders we are postponing the Sandown Regatta racing to a noon start on Saturday, August 14th. Unfortunately we will not be able to use the pier so will do a committee-boat instead to allow us to race in a similar area. Tom Gifford (Sandown Regatta Chair) will present the cups at the Clubhouse afterwards.

We know that it is unusual for us to race on a Saturday, but it has been several years since the Regatta was raced (either no wind or crazy wind) and it would be great to award the Cups again as they will make for a rather impressive display on someone's mantle.

 Further racing info will be added shortly so please watch this space.

Thanks,
Yvonne

The start will be between Biscuit's mast displaying an orange flag and a round white buoy.

There will be a port-handed windward-leeward course with two large yellow inflatable buoys. You must pass through the line each lap. There will be a large number of laps so that the course will be shortened by an S flag and two horns.

The start sequence will be 5,4,1,0 with an E flag as the warning signal.

The second race will follow the first.

Boats may be finished at the finish line under flag S irrespective of their position in the race.
The race committee may score other boats based on their relative positions at a mark of the course or on a leg of the course.

Scores are up. They are separate from our own stats.
