Ventnor Races - Sunday 10th April
Posted: April 8th, 2022, 10:46 amThe forecast looks good for the Ventnor Races on Sunday. The start time at Shanklin is 9.45am.
There will be a briefing at the club house at 9am.
It will be a normal start between the start buoys, going directly to Ventnor. The 35 minute time limit to the first buoy does not apply.
The finish line will be a transit of a Sierra flag on the harbour wall and the red post in Ventnor Bay.
Land on the beach on the west side opposite Alma Road and there will be a chance to get a cup of tea or gin while Les and Kev put some buoys out.
There will then be a race around the bay around some buoys followed by a race back to Shanklin.
There are four cups at stake including one for the first novice in the races to and from Ventnor.
