Vice Commodores AGM Suggestions

Next season I would like to propose:

1) Thursday evening racing moves to Wednesday evenings. The benefits would be more equal spacing of the week with Cadets on Fridays, and racing on Sundays. The overiding factor however should be attendance numbers. If you cannot attend the AGM please let me know via email if you could NOT race on a Wednesday BUT would definately race on a Thursday.

2) A Sunday Pico series for Juniors and Cadets with 10 races over the Summer with a 10.30am start. With Junior Cup and Cadet Cup awarded to the winners.

3) A Pro-Am Competition. Pro or Am status will be allocated by the Vice Commodore and Class Captain at the start of the season. The Revill and Preston Points Series will contain a second cup (probably W Lodge and Keith Prowse) for the highest placed amateur in each series. There could also be another prize for the best place Pro-Am pair in each series.

If you have an opinion on any of these suggestions and cannot make the AGM please email me and I will take your opinion to the meeting.

What day were you proposing have the equivalent of the Tuesday Afternoon Series?

I'm actually rapidly back pedalling on the idea of moving the Thursday racing to Wednesday as I have now realised I can't sail on Wednesday evenings at all!

In that case the Tuesday series could stay where it is !

I'm not voting for that one. If we can't outwit the over sixties, we have to wear them out.
