Hi - I know that you'll all be totally fascinated to know what I've actually done to make life a little easier in the "Trolley Dept " ! Well, following on with the help given me by Chris, John and Sean I took their combined advice and have I believe achieved moderate success for Zero money, which being an ex banker is always nice!
I found out that Studiophase had moved to Cothey Way, Ryde, and acquired two Aluminium TV Poles with old aerials attached which I removed and then found a scaffolding firm working in Avenue Road Sandown who let me have a pressed steel swivel coupler for nothing. I had looked on Ebay for the same , but did not particularly want to buy a minimum order of 25 to fit to two trolleys. These work really well. One of the right angled swivels fits perfectly to the trolley axle with its 50 mil diameter and the other attaches nicely to the aerial once one has "clad" the pole in gaffer tape to size it up. I now intend to apply Hamerite to the free bits and then we're in business.
Having spent a lot of time and effort - I would probably given my time again merely go to the online shop and get the proper bit for about £85, but then again I can now buy approximately 20 bottles of semi- decent wine when I go to Froggy France next month!
