Due to the recent proliferation of video cameras out sailing I have added a video page.

I have added a couple of videos to the site: http://www.shanklinsailingclub.com/listpages/videos.php.

Unfortunately they are not up to Alan's standard with the still photography.

Very good Liam! My wife thought I was very brave ( and stupid!) and pretty useless!! Could do with cutting Stuart P out of the video as he seems to sail through the surf with no problems!!

He clearly had less waves to contend with. And more ballast to deal with them.

Nice top video (in case there is more than one). I have studied it in detail and realise where the extra speed has come from - but, is the prebend shown at 1:58 ish really legal?

BTW - what is the music.

Top one on this page? That's Jethro Tull, Life is a Long Song. One of the most under-rated bands ever.

Prebend? Qu'est-ce que c'est?

Ah I get it. The camera has a slight fish eye lens so it will bend the mast over a bit.

Is it just me, or does anybody else notice the resemblance between Simon and the Wicked Witch of the West in the latest video? He has the same intense expression. I keep expecting him to unleash the winged monkeys. Oh my!

Sorry but that was my wife on her birthday. Slightly difficult to type at this time of night for her on such a momentous occasion
