Boxing Day / New Year's Day Swim

Shanklin's Boxing Day Swim, Small Hope Beach, Shanklin.

The Swim starts along the beach by the Salix Café at 12.30pm.

The New Year's Day Swim, same place but with an earlier start at 12-00 noon.

Well done to brave Club Member's taking part.

There's also entertainment all Boxing Day by DJ 'Steppin Out' playing music on the beach, guess weather permitting!

All proceeds go to the Sandown and Shanklin Independent Lifeboat.

Just seen the Ventnor Boxing Day Swim at 12noon has been cancelled.
Organisers decided its too dangerous for a swim in adverse weather conditions.

Don't know if Shanklin's swim is going ahead, but looking at the Web Cam the car park is packed with cars, must be all happening.
