Trampoline Track

Postby ChrisR » June 21st, 2020, 9:04 pm

Heads Up
Harry's trampoline track parted company with the rivets. The track has rotted away under the stainless Jib Track.
Popped down and took mine off today. Mine is starting to corrode under the stainless track.
We have a slight problem Windsport don't do the 6mm track anymore, only the 8mm, so you will have to purchase a trampoline with the 8mm balk rope. You won't get much change from £530 for the two.
The moral of the story is.
Keep your eye on your Trampoline Track. I know I couldn't afford to buy new track and trampoline.

I have been playing with mine, what I have done is.

1) Remove the stainless Jib Track.
2) Cleaned the Trampoline track and stainless Jib Track.
3) Replaced the rivets holding the Trampoline Track on that are below the Jib Track (using Sikaflex Silicone sealant in the holes).
4) I have put Mastic Tape on the bottom of the Jib Track.
5) Put Sikaflex silicone sealant in and around the holes that the new rivets are going back into.

Hopefully this will all cause a barrier between the dissimilar metals and help to prevent corrosion.
