Lesson and practice races

The first of the two lesson and practice race days is a week on Sunday (6th March) starting at 10am.

All paid up Shanklin sailors are welcome.

Hopefully the weather will be kinder to us than this time last year.

Am hoping we will have a nice off-shore force four for Sunday. Also hoping we can have a good turn out.

I am aiming to make a start at 10am so you need to have your boat rigged up on the beach and be ready to sail at that time.

Everyone should have a time-piece capable of counting down five minutes.

If anybody wants help putting their masts up I am very happy to help on Friday evening or Saturday.

Great to see a good crowd out on the water. I hope you all got something out of it. Thanks to Sue and Kevin for their help.

Well done to Brandon for showing everybody how to sail and taking a clean sheet of wins.

The wind was fairly light and a bit fluky and in those conditions it is really important to keep watching your tell tales and get your weight well forward.

Hope we can get a few more out next week.
