Just a couple of tips for those that capsized, what I do and find helps is:-
1) I have knots tied in the righting rope about every foot or so (Yes it means more expense a longer bit of rope) Easier to hold on to.
2) I have a loop tied about 3 feet from the mast ball so that you can get a foot in to be able to get back on board with.(Yes it means even more expense a much longer bit of rope) Great for the older sailor.
3) I have the thickest and softest bit of rope I can find, saves my delicate little hands.(

more expense)
4) I try not to capsize.(My son Ian has never capsized
