Start and finish lines
The start line is defined by a transit of the triangle on the start hut and the telegraph pole which is on the corner of the Hope Beach car park. The inner and outer mark buoys may or may not be on this line. You must follow the instructions on the course board to see which way to round these buoys but usually you must go between these buoys at the start.
The normal finish line is defined by a transit between the outer mark and the triangle shape on the start box. A boat is finished as soon as some part of her crosses the line.
