Additional Sailing Instructions for Olympic Points 2026

These sailing instructions apply to the 2026 Olympic Series which is scheduled for Thuesday 28th May 2026, Thursday 4th June 2026 and Thursday 11th June 2026.

  1. The series is open to members of Shanklin Sailing Club sailing Dart 15 catamarans with a helm and crew.  
  2. Jibs may be used.
  3. Trapeze equipement may not be used.
  4. Gold fleet sailors are not allowed to helm except in, or to avoid, emergencies.  If a gold fleet sailor takes over the helm then they must return to the position that they started helming before resuming the race.
  5. Gold fleet sailors may not crew for the same person more than once.
  6. Gold fleet sailors may not crew for more than one silver fleet sailor in the series.
  7. In a helm/crew partnership the person helming must be the lower ranked of the two as displayed on the Baker Challenge page on the Shanklin Sailing Club web site.
  8. A gold fleet sailor is defined as somebody that is in the gold fleet for either the Revill or the Preston Points series.
